Dr. Wendy Webster, DVM, BSc.
I have always been drawn to animals. Through the years I have had an abundance of critters, many of which I begged and bribed my family for, and others which I simply just brought home because they needed care. These included dogs, cats, fish, turtles, parrots and parakeets, rodents, fostered squirrels, raccoons, and even a duck- which was a bit unique in my south Mississauga neighbourhood!
Needless to say, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. After graduating with my BSc. from McGill University, I went on to the University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College and received my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with honours in 2003. Since then I have been devoted to the practice of small animal and emergency medicine in the Mississauga and Oakville areas where I have had the privilege to forge countless relationships with pets and their owners, some spanning nearly two decades.
Being very passionate about animal care and comfort, I have taken special interest in pain management, fear-free handling, dental care, and preventative medicine. My goal is to work closely with owners to help ensure that their companions live the longest, fullest, and most comfortable lives possible. Over the years I have worked closely with many rescue groups, and have spent time at the Ontario Veterinary College helping to coach and mentor future veterinarians.
Outside of the clinic, I have countless things to keep me busy. You can find me in the garden, on the ski slopes, biking, baking, hiking, or kayaking. I love spending time with my awesome partner, Jeff, our two great kids, Maren and Odin, and our 4-legged kiddos ‘Dover’ -a very handsome Portuguese Water Dog, and ‘Murray -our perennially grumpy, yet-loveable rescue Scottish Fold.
