Dr. Wendy Webster, DVM, BSc.

I have always been drawn to animals.  Through the years I have had an abundance of critters, many of which I begged and bribed my family for, and others which I simply just brought home because they needed care.  These included dogs, cats, fish, turtles, parrots and parakeets, rodents, fostered squirrels, raccoons, and even a duck- which was a bit unique in my south Mississauga neighbourhood!

Needless to say, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian.  After graduating with my BSc. from McGill University, I went on to the University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College and received my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with honours in 2003.  Since then I have been devoted to the practice of small animal and emergency medicine in the Mississauga and Oakville areas where I have had the privilege to forge countless relationships with pets and their owners, some spanning nearly two decades.

Being very passionate about animal care and comfort, I have taken special interest in pain management, fear-free handling, dental care, and preventative medicine.  My goal is to work closely with owners to help ensure that their companions live the longest, fullest, and most comfortable lives possible.  Over the years I have worked closely with many rescue groups, and have spent time at the Ontario Veterinary College helping to coach and mentor future veterinarians.

Outside of the clinic, I have countless things to keep me busy.  You can find me in the garden, on the ski slopes, biking, baking, hiking, or kayaking.  I love spending time with my awesome partner, Jeff, our two great kids, Maren and Odin, and our 4-legged kiddos ‘Dover’ -a very handsome Portuguese Water Dog, and ‘Murray -our perennially grumpy, yet-loveable rescue Scottish Fold.

Dr. Paula Fisher, DVM, BSc.
When I was only 6 weeks old, my family was moving from London to Windsor, Ontario.  Somewhere along that long drive on the 401, my parents spotted a small puppy on the side of the highway.  My dad pulled the car over and ran across two lanes of the road and managed to get her safely in to our packed car.  This puppy, Lobo, lived to be 14 years old and was the very beginnings of a life full of animals for me.  I grew up in a home where we loved and respected all creatures, and our pets ranged from dogs to cats, lizards to hermit crabs, and budgies to hamsters and gerbils.
I finished my undergraduate Honours Biology degree at the University of Guelph, and received my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2001.  After graduation, I was fortunate to accept a fellowship position in Feline Medicine at the University of Bristol.  I spent a second year in England working at a small animal practice before moving back to Canada in 2003, where I initially worked at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Toronto.
I have enjoyed working in general practice as a family veterinarian for over 20 years, and I truly believe that it is an honour to advocate for animals, and to be part of a health care team that strengthens the human-animal bond.  Some of my interests in the field include feline medicine, urgent care, geriatric and palliative care and surgery.
Outside of work I am busy with my partner, Hans, and two sons (Nate and Theo).  We share our home with a spicy (yet sweet!) Siamese cat named Rudy, our lovely Mexi-mutt Miguel, and a variety of fish.  In my spare time I also love spending time with friends, working out, and travelling whenever the opportunity arises.
Dr. Katy Gardiner, DVM, BSc.

Dr. Katy Gardiner developed her love for animals early in life. Her family home was always full of pets, which fostered her passion for animal care and desire to pursue veterinary medicine. She graduated from Queen’s University with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree prior to obtaining her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College.

Dr. Gardiner is passionate about reducing any fear and anxiety during your pet’s veterinary visit. She knows your pet is an important part of your family and is committed to working with you to keep them healthy and happy.

Outside of work, Dr. Katy enjoys spending time with her family, catching up with friends, reading, going on walks, and doing anything crafty!

Whitney Bickle, RVT, BSc.

Whitney completed her BSc from Brock University, majoring in biology and minoring in math. She then went on to graduate with honours from the University of Guelph’s Ridgetown campus with her diploma as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2008.

Anesthesia, behaviour, and geriatric care are some of her main interests, but making sure she is able to help each patient that walks in the door and make their visit as enjoyable as possible is always her main goal. In her role as a Registered Veterinary Technician, Whitney has always ensured that patients are treated with care and handled in a fear- and pain-free manner.

Whitney has and has had many of her own companions over the years. She is dedicated to rescuing animals in need and often seeks out those that might be less likely to find homes. Her calm and empathetic personality allows her to bond with even the most worried of patients earning her the title of the resident “dog whisperer”.

Megan Leciago, RVT, BSc.

Megan completed an honours degree in Biological Science from the University of Guelph. She then continued her studies at Ridgetown College, University of Guelph, graduating with honours from the veterinary technology program in 2006.

In the 15 years since graduation, Megan has worked in a small animal practice in Mississauga dedicated to the care and well-being of her patients. Megan loves all animals but has a particular fondness for our feline patients. Having a soft-spoken and gentle nature, and attention to detail, Megan provides exceptional care to patients.

In her free time, Megan loves swimming, running, and spending time with her husband and children (both two- and four-legged).

Kara-Lee Mehlenbacher, RVT, BA

Kara-Lee completed her BA from the University of Guelph, majoring in international development studies and minoring in rural and agriculture development. After several years of working in the corporate world, Kara-Lee decided to make a drastic career change and return to school to become a Registered Veterinary Technician to fulfill her lifelong aspiration to work with animals. She went on to graduate with honors from Sheridan College in 2020.

After graduating, Kara-Lee worked in the surgery department at an emergency and referral hospital for a couple of years before deciding to look for a job in general practice that was closer to home. Her main interests are surgery and anesthesia, but enjoys the one-on-one nursing care with her patients the most. She loves forming relationships with her patients and their owners alike, and tends to dote on her patients like they were her own.

Kara-Lee has had many of her own companions over the years. In her free time, Kara-Lee likes to garden, cook, go hiking, puppy-sit her many fur nieces and nephews, and spend time with her family and friends.
